With the advent of the global era, the "cultural industry" is undeniably one of the fastest-growing sectors worldwide. The "tourism" and "entertainment" industries lie at the heart of cultural industry. Among the various sectors that are being overtaken by advanced technologies, the cultural industry stands as one of the last to endure. The "Global Tourism and Entertainment Module" is designed to help students acquire in-depth expertise in the globally growing fields of tourism and entertainment, with an emphasis on integrating field-based learning. This module aims to cultivate global talent who are ready to engage in these industries. In particular, the Global Tourism and Entertainment Module seeks to equip students with specialized knowledge of the tourism and entertainment industries not only in Korea but also in various regions of the world (Europe, East Asia, North America), ultimately assisting them in securing employment in these fields. It is now time for our students to expand their perspectives beyond the Korean market and look to the global market. With the recognition that the entire world is a market, we encourage students to prepare for a future in the "Global Tourism and Entertainment" sector, which holds infinite growth potential.

Educational Objectives

  • 1) Expertise: Developing professionals who can strategically respond to the global cultural industry by acquiring specialized knowledge of the tourism industry and popular culture in various regions of the world, along with field-based practical training.
  • 2) International Talent Development: Providing education that allows students to acquire broad knowledge of language, culture, and society in their region of interest, including Korea, East Asia, Europe, and North America.
  • 3) Leadership Cultivation: Fostering the qualities necessary for global leadership, including language proficiency, cross-cultural understanding, and communication skills.
  • 4) Practicality: Offering a curriculum with field-connected classes and practical experiences to actively support career preparation and entrepreneurship.

Specialized Areas

Specialized Areas: Focuses on the tourism and cultural industries and strategies of East Asia (Japan and China), Europe, and North America. Students are supported to acquire language skills specific to each region and deepen their understanding of the unique cultures. Based on practical skills in the overall tourism and entertainment industries, the program also supports employment opportunities in related sectors.
